Course Description
The Golden Heart School of Nursing E-Learning Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) is an online training program approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). This program can be completed in 25.5 days (Monday to Friday) consisting of 10 days of theory instruction delivered via Zoom and 15.5 days of in-person clinical training in a CDPH-approved healthcare facility.
This program provides training designed to prepare students to deliver compassionate, safe, and effective care to residents requiring assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility during their clinical training.
Students will learn infection prevention, proper handwashing techniques, body mechanics, communication skills, safety procedures, resident rights, dementia care, and abuse prevention. The E-Learning format allows students to complete the theory component online through an approved e-learning platform, followed by supervised clinical training. Clinical hours are required and are held at approved facilities located in Salinas, Santa Cruz, Morgan Hill, San Jose, San Mateo.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion, making them eligible to take the state certification exam. Upon passing the state exam, graduates will earn their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and may seek employment in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, assisted living communities, rehabilitation centers, and hospice care settings.
