About Us
The Golden Heart School of Nursing In-Person Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) is a course training approved by California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
The Nurse Assistant Training Program provides training to prepare students to deliver compassionate and safe care to residents requiring assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility during their clinical training.
Students will learn infection prevention, proper hand washing technique, body mechanics, communication, safety, resident rights, dementia care, and abuse prevention.
Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion that enables them to take the state exam. Upon passing the state exam, candidates will hold a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant and can obtain employment in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, assisted living, rehabilitation, and hospice care settings.
General Admission Policy
Golden Heart School of Nursing (GHSN) offers Nursing Assistant Training Program (NATP) approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). The program delivers theory and clinical training at a CDPH-approved facility.
3.a Program Requirements
To be admitted into the NATP, applicants must:
Be at least 16 years of age. Applicants under 18 must provide a written consent from a parent or legal guardian before starting the program. (Form is available during registration)
Government-Issued photo ID (State ID, CDL, Passport)
Social Security Card
Completed CDPH 283B Application form
Complete and upload Request for Live Scan form (BCIA 8016) (ORI #A1226)
Complete and upload a physical examination, recent or within the last 90 days.
Complete and upload a negative TB test result, recent or within the last 90 days.
Must have computer and internet access (see minimum technical requirements below)
Program Tuition Fees
Total Tuition Fee: $1,900.00 (Can be paid in full)
Registration Fee: $100 (Non-refundable) — to be deducted from the total tuition fee.
Remaining Balance: $1,800.00 can be paid in installments. See schedule below.
CDPH 283B Form and eLearning completion certificate will not be released if tuition fee is not fully paid.

Theory: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM Clinical: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Student Absenteeism and Make-Up Policy
6.a Attendance & Participation
Students are allowed 2 excused absences during the Theory Part and 2 excused absences for Clinical Training. Exceeding the maximum allowed absences will result in program dismissal, ineligibility for graduation.
Student may be required to re-enroll and repeat the program with applicable fees
6.b Excused vs. Unexcused Absences
Excused Absences (with supporting documents):
Illness or medical emergency (doctor’s note).
Serious family emergency (death or major illness in immediate family).
Court or legal obligations (official notice).
Unexcused Absences (no valid reason or no supporting documents):
Oversleeping, No-show without prior notification.
Personal travel or vacation.
Work schedule conflicts.
Non-emergency appointments during class time.
6.c Notification
Emergency/illness: Notify the instructors at least 60 minutes before the online class starts (or as soon as reasonably possible).
Technical issues: Try to reconnect immediately and inform the instructor by email or message if you cannot rejoin.
Failure to report technical issues will result in the absence being counted as unexcused.
6.d Maximum Absences
Students are allowed 4 excused absences during the Theory Part and 4 excused absences for Clinical Training. For online classes and required activities, as specified in their enrollment documents.
6.e. Late and Missed Clinical Policy
Theory:
Students who arrive 30 minutes after the scheduled start time are marked late, exceeding 30 minutes after the start time shall be recorded as absent.
● Clinical Training:
Students arriving within 15–30 minutes after the scheduled start time shall be considered late, while those arriving more than 30 minutes after the scheduled start time shall be considered absent.
Accumulation of three (3) tardies is equivalent to one clinical absence, and the student is required to complete a make-up class.
● Missed Clinical Rotations
All missed clinical hours must be completed at the designated approved clinical training site under supervision of a clinical instructor until the missed clinical hours are fulfilled.
Code of Conduct
Golden Heart School of Nursing (GHSN) maintains a compliant Code of Conduct that applies to all environments: online theory and clinical site training.
7.a Professionalism and Ethical Conduct
Maintain honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior in all academic and clinical activities.
Demonstrate professional behavior with patients, families, instructors, staff, and classmates.
Avoid cheating, plagiarism, falsification of records, or misrepresentation of work.
7.b Respect and Non-Discrimination
Treat everyone with dignity and respect regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, age, disability, religion, or sexual orientation.
Bullying, harassment, or any discriminatory conduct online or during clinical training is strictly prohibited will result in dismissal from the program.
Respect patients’ rights to privacy, autonomy, and cultural beliefs.
7.c Compliance with Policies
Follow all GHSN policies, and clinical facility rules (including dress code, infection control, safety protocols and including patients’ confidentiality).
Wear the required clinical uniform and name badge when on clinical training site.
Participate in required safety training.
7.d Academic Integrity
Submit your own original work on exams, quizzes, assignments, and activities online through canvas (Learning Management System).
Do not share test answers, copy work, or allow others to complete your assignments. Violation of this policy will result in dismissal from the program.
7.e Patient Care and Safety
Maintain patient safety and compassionate care at all times during clinical training.
Follow infection control guidelines, including hand hygiene and proper use of PPE during clinical training.
7.f Substance Use and Impairment
Use, possession, or distribution of alcohol, illegal drugs, or unauthorized substances are strictly prohibited at all school-related activities and during clinical training.
Violation of this policy will result in dismissal from the program.
7.g Confidentiality and Privacy
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and facility information in all settings, including online discussions.
Do not share patient identifiers in emails, group chats, or social media.
Do not print, photograph patient, take a video or distribute any part of a patient’s medical r

7.h Social Media and Electronic Communication
Maintain professional boundaries in all online communication.
No use of cell phones during clinical training hours, especially in the medication area, personal phone calls are allowed with the approval of the clinical instructor and during students’ scheduled lunch break.
7.i Language, Professional Communication, and Profanity
Use respectful, professional language in all verbal, written, and electronic communication.
Profanity, cursing, offensive, vulgar, or degrading language are strictly prohibited in:
Online classes and clinical training settings.
Online platforms (Zoom meeting, LMS, chats, emails).
Any school-related group messages or social media.
Harassing, threatening, or disruptive language is considered a serious violation and will result in dismissal from the program
7.j Uniform Policy
Official GHSN scrub uniform (True Navy Blue)
● Closed-toe, non-slip shoes. No specific color (no crocs).
Student ID badge visible at all times (to be pinned on the left side of the scrub).
Hair neatly tied back, showing the neck, nails short and unpolished.
Policy on Release of Documents
E-learning Nurse Assistant Training Program Certificate of Completion and CDPH 283B Form will be released upon completion and fulfillment of all requirements for both theory and clinical training.
Pregnancy and Parental Support Policy
Pregnancy or related conditions cannot be a basis for discrimination.
Students are encouraged to disclose pregnancy when it may affect clinical training participation.
Medical clearance is required before participating in or continuing clinical training for pregnant students.
