E-Learning Course Description
The Golden Heart School of Nursing E-Learning Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) is an online training program approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). This program can be completed in 6 weeks (Monday to Friday) of theory instruction delivered via Zoom and in-person clinical training in a CDPH-approved healthcare facility.
This program provides training designed to prepare students to deliver compassionate, safe, and effective care to residents requiring assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility during their clinical training.
Students will learn infection prevention, proper handwashing techniques, body mechanics, communication skills, safety procedures, resident rights, dementia care, and abuse prevention. The E-Learning format allows students to complete the theory component online through an approved e-learning platform, followed by supervised clinical training. Clinical hours are required and are held at approved facilities located in Santa Cruz, Morgan Hill, Saratoga and Santa Clara.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion, making them eligible to take the state certification exam. Upon passing the state exam, graduates will earn their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and may seek employment in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, assisted living communities, rehabilitation centers, and hospice care settings.

Program Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age. Applicants under 18 must provide a written consent from a parent or legal guardian before starting the program. (Form is available during registration)
- Government-Issued photo ID (State ID, CDL, Passport)
- Social Security Card
- Completed CDPH 283B Application form
- Complete and upload Request for Live Scan form (BCIA 8016) (ORI #A1226)
- Complete and upload a physical examination, recent or within the last 90 days
- Complete and upload a negative TB test result, recent or within the last 90 days.
- Must have computer and internet access (see minimum technical requirements below)
Student Fees
Total Tuition Fee: $1,900.00 (Can be paid in full)
Registration Fee: $100 (Non-refundable) — to be deducted from the total tuition fee.
Remaining Balance: $1,800.00 can be paid in installments. See schedule below.
CDPH 283B Form and eLearning completion certificate will not be released if tuition fee is not fully paid.

- Camera on during class time with exception to class breaks
- Students must mute and turn off camera on scheduled breaks
Grading Requirements
Theory
Clinical
• Quizzes (17 Modules) + Final Exam = Final Grade
• Pass: 75% of the final grade and above
• Fail: 75% below the final grade, 74.9% and below is considered failing
• No rounding up of grades
• Make up quizzes on all modules: students are granted two (2) opportunities on failed quizzes
•Pass: 100% attendance (students are required to make up missed
clinical hours in accordance with the school policy)
